DOCUMENTATION

The “where is that setting?” page.

Short notes for the current 1.0.3.1b beta. We'll keep this practical instead of turning it into a novel.

01

Install SourceGen

SourceGen is a Windows desktop app. Grab the current beta from the Download page, run the package, and sign in when the relay asks for an account.

The current source build identifies itself as 1.0.3.1b.
02

Account & profile

Accounts handle login, invite codes, password changes/resets, display names, bios, avatars, presence, progression and staff roles. Activity across the app can feed XP and achievements.

03

QC Generator

Open SourceGen → QC Gen → Open QC Generator. The desktop generator can build model/body declarations, VTA flex blocks, bodygroups, surface/content directives, bounds, materials, skin families, includes, attachments, hitboxes, keyvalues, custom directives and sequences.

The old website QC tool is gone. Desktop-only now. Gatekept with love.
04

Decompiler

Pick one MDL or a folder of models, choose an output location, then tune the reconstruction options. The native parser in this build supports MDL versions 44–49, 54–56 and 58–59.

05

Cloud Files

The relay vault handles uploads, folders, search, previews, rename/delete operations and public publishing. Files can also be protected with a password before sharing.

Treat normal published share links as public. Use the password option when the file shouldn't be open to anyone with the URL.
06

Themes

The built-in families are Neon Purple, Fire Neon Orange, Neon Cherry Red, Relay Blue, Terminal Green and Graphite Mono. Custom themes are stored locally in the desktop app.

07

Self Radio

Your local library lives in Documents/SourceGen/Music. Import tracks there, rescan when needed, and use the player controls for playback, volume and crossfade.

08

Updates

SourceGen reads release metadata from its configured release channel. Packages can include size and SHA-256 metadata, and the client can skip a version when you don't want it yet.

09

Website account & forums

The community website has its own lightweight account system for forum identity, replies, likes, bookmarks, public profiles, notifications and linked Beta Tester applications. It is separate from the SourceGen desktop account.

Create or manage the website account from Account. Forum posting requires sign-in; reading does not.
